Five suspects were held as police foiled a warehouse robbery in Port of Spain this morning.

Around 3am, members of the Inter-Agency Task Force responded to an alarm at a building along Frederick Street.

After cordoning off all entrances and exits, they conducted a systematic search of the three-story structure, which led to the discovery of four suspects on the rooftop.

One of the men was carrying a firearm, with the suspects also found with housebreaking implements and a black bag containing sneakers, slippers and clothing.

Another suspect was also found a short while later on the rooftop.

According to the TTPS, the suspects were 19, 22, 30, 32 and 39 years of age.
