This time, England’s bowlers stepped up, with the addition of Mark Wood, who took 7 wickets in the game, in place of veteran swing bowler James Anderson.

The Aussies scored 263 and 224 in both innings, with England making 237 in their first.

At the end of Day 3, England were 27 without loss, needing 224 runs to win with all wickets in hand and two days to spare.

The series is very much alive.
