A third case of Mpox (Monkeypox virus) has been confirmed in T&T.

According to the Health Ministry, the patient is a young adult male with a recent travel history.

The result was confirmed via laboratory testing earlier today.

The relevant County Medical Officer of Health is now conducting an epidemiology investigation and has initiated the local public health response, which includes home isolation and contact tracing.
