The Gender and Child Affairs Division has received 39 tablets from the UN Population Fund for use by stakeholders of the Central Registry for Gender-Based Violence.
The devices were donated under the Spotlight Initiative, which is funded by the European Union.
They were received yesterday by Ayanna Webster-Roy, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Gender and Child Affairs.
The devices will be distributed in the coming months, with recipients to include Government Ministries, State Agencies, Civil Society Organisations and the Tobago House of Assembly.
The CRGBV is an information system which serves as a central repository of data on Gender-Based Violence – the tablets will provide mobile access to the CRGBV as part of the capacity building initiative.
