Three men were held by police after allegedly trying to break into the service station near the Maritime Roundabout.

Around 2:45am on Tuesday, a supervisor checking CCTV cameras at the location spotted three men trying to gain entry through a door at the back of the building.

Responding officers were able to detain the suspects, who were found with a number of house breaking implements.

They are expected to answer to charges of Attempted Store Breaking with Intent and Possession of Housebreaking Implements by Night.
