2nd child dies from measles in Texas

A second child has died from measles as an outbreak of the highly contagious virus continues to grow in western Texas.

According to BBC News, the unvaccinated school-aged child had no underlying health conditions and died from measles pulmonary failure at the hospital last Thursday.

On Sunday, US President Donald Trump said he believes the outbreak is largely contained, adding that if it continues to progress, very strong action will be taken.

To date, the outbreak of the childhood disease has resulted in nearly 500 cases in Texas and has now spread across 22 states.
