The go ahead has been given for another sequel to the hit movie “28 Days Later”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alex Garland and Danny Boyle are reuniting for “28 Years Later” which is presumably set in a ruined world that’s been ravaged by a strange virus responsible for turning people into rage-filled, fast-running zombie-like beings.
“28 Days Later” was released in 2002 and is considered the breakout film for actor Cillian Murphy.
A sequel titled “28 Weeks Later” was released in 2007 – featuring a different cast led by Jeremy Renner and Rose Byrne, the movie delved into how the rage infection ultimately spread beyond Britain’s borders.
It is not yet known if any of the actors from the previous two films would be a part of “28 Years Later” since it does not yet have a production start date, cast, or distribution studio.
