A 28-year-old man has been granted bail for sexual offences against a 14-year-old girl.

According to a police report, the victim was at her aunt’s home in June 2022, when the man allegedly entered the room where she sleeping and had sexual intercourse with her against her will.

Following an investigation by the Special Victims Department, the man was arrested and charged on July 21st 2023.

He appeared before the Siparia Magistrates’ Court that same day charged with Sexual Penetration of a Child and is due to reappear in court on August 3rd.
