22 Venezuelans have been detained for illegal entry into Trinidad.

During an exercise yesterday, police went to Erin Beach, where they met members of the T&T Coast Guard and Customs and Excise Division

The officials handed over some of the immigrants who were held after their vessel was intercepted along the Erin Beach front.

Other immigrants also ran into some nearby bushes, but were detained approximately 400 feet off the Buenos Ayres Main Road.

Those now in custody are 11 males and 11 females, seven of which were minors.
