Two men were fatally shot in Malick, Barataria last night.

They have been identified as 36-year-old Hakim Mitchell and 54-year-old Junior Ollivierre.

Around 8:15pm, Mitchell was walking along 6th Avenue near 5th Street and Ollivierre was sitting in his vehicle along 6th Avenue, when two masked men got out of another vehicle and started shooting.

Mitchell and Ollivierre were both taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where they succumbed to their injuries.
