Two men were shot and killed by police yesterday evening in Sou Sou Lands, Tobago.

Around 6:08pm, officers went to a guest house in the area after receiving information regarding armed men wanted in connection with reports of several shootings.

They entered an apartment where two men allegedly pointed weapons at the officers who discharged their firearms.

Both men were taken to the Scarborough General Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Police reportedly recovered an AR-15 rifle with 29 rounds of ammunition and a revolver with four rounds of ammunition.
