A Special Reserve Police officer has been granted $185,000 bail after appearing in court over alleged sexual offences against a minor.

It is alleged that between May and July 2022 the victim was sexually touched while between January and July 2024 the accused has sex with the victim on five occasions.

Following investigations, PC Kenneth Hazel was arrested on July 15th and, as part of bail conditions, he must relocate to Toco, have no contact with the victim and stay at least 50 feet away from the victim.

A status hearing is scheduled for May 15th, 2025 and the Sufficiency Hearing is carded for June 19th, 2025.
