Two persons transporting a large quantity of drugs escaped after their vehicle crashed into a wall in Sangre Grande last night.

Police were alerted to the Wingroad around 11:45pm, after it attempted to dodge a roadblock at Tumpuna Road North and sped away, heading east.

Officers mounted a road block in the Sangre Grande area, where the suspects rammed into one of the police vehicles.

They eventually ran into a wall at Katwaroo Trace, with officers later finding $145,000 worth of marijuana.
