A 12-year-old has been hospitalized after a shooting incident at Bagatelle Road, Diego Martin.

According to reports, the child was in her father’s vehicle around 8pm on June 5th when a gunman approached and fired several shots.

The father drove off in a bid to escape before one of the vehicle’s tyres blew out on the Diego Martin Highway.

Police were contacted and took the man and his daughter to hospital.

The child is said to still be warded with a gunshot wound.
