100,000 eggs stolen from a truck in Pennsylvania

100,000 eggs, valued at $40,000 USD have been stolen from a truck in Pennsylvania.

According to CNN, police reported that the eggs were stolen from egg producers Pete & Gerry’s Organics.

Police said the robbery comes in the midst of a bird flu epidemic which has seen  a shortage in the staple and a steep rise in the cost of eggs, in some cases as high as 65%.
