Ten prison officers have been promoted to the rank of Prisons Supervisor.

The appointments were made yesterday during a brief ceremony at the Administration Building, Golden Grove Prison.

Congratulating them was Acting Prisons Commissioner Deopersad Ramoutar, who told the new supervisors that there should not be a breakdown in their discipline or standards.

He also encouraged them to embrace the heavy challenges that came with the position and to display positive and uplifting work ethics for effective management.
