Police held eight Venezuelans and two locals during an Operation Horizon exercise that also saw them seize 11 illegal firearms.
Between 10am and 4pm on Sunday, a joint team intercepted a Kia panel van in the vicinity of Chatham South Trace, Point Fortin.
The van was driven by a 29-year-old, who was accompanied by a 23-year-old.
In the back of the vehicle they found nine Venezuelans, including a 4-year-old child.
They also found:
- A revolver with ammunition in the front of the vehicle

The TTPS says the persons were arrested, while the child was handed over to a relative.
