$1.7 million worth of marijuana has been seized during a 24-hour period.

Police say $1.5 million of the drug was found in four bags during a search of a forested area off Teak Drive in River Estate, Diego Martin.

In Maraval, officers went to Upper Moraldo Street and found $178,500 of marijuana in a black plastic.

In both instances, no one was arrested.

These finds follow a $5.5 million marijuana bust yesterday in St James.
