Company director gets $250,000 bail for several fraud charges

The director of a construction company has been granted $250,000 bail after appearing in court charged with several fraud offences.

48-year-old Daniel Wilson is accused of presenting a Central Bank cheque and other contract documents purporting to be from the Works Ministry, to open an account at a commercial bank.

The documents were later found to be fraudulent, leading to seven counts of uttering a forged document and attempting to obtain $10,125,000.28 by false pretence.

He appeared before Master of the High Court, Shabiki Cazabon, who granted bail and ordered him to report to the St. Joseph Police Station three times a week.

The matter was postponed to July 18th 2024.
