An Immigration Officer is expected to appear before a San Fernando Master’s Court tomorrow, charged with Misbehaviour in Public Office.

She was charged following enquiries by the Fraud Squad into a report of forged documents.

Officers reportedly seized Venezuelan passport allegedly issued to a foreign national.

The passport allegedly contained Immigration Division, Ministry of National Security permanent resident status stamp endorsements.

However, after thorough examination, it was found that the permanent residency status had not been legitimately granted.
