On April 8th 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, United States, and Canada.
A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun.
This causes the sky to darken as if it were dawn or dusk.
The pathway for a total solar eclipse includes Mexico’s Pacific coast to Canada’s Atlantic seaboard.
NASA is urging those who want to watch the eclipse to wear specialized eye protection designed for solar viewing.
Unfortunately, this solar eclipse will not be visible in T&T.
The image above shows the path of the eclipse.
