Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly been discharged from hospital after undergoing a procedure.

The Times of India says he is now recovering at home after an angioplasty at a private facility in Mumbai.

Johns Hopkins says angioplasty is a procedure used to open blocked coronary arteries caused by coronary artery disease.

The news of his discharge coincided with a brief tweet reading “in gratitude ever..”

Many fans have since responded to wish him a speedy recovery.
