Major repairs on a ruptured pipeline near the Curepe Interchange were completed around 4am with supply restored along the Caroni North transmission system.

This is according to WASA which says these works were completed ahead of its previously expected timeline.

However, customers in parts of Tunapuna/St Augustine will continue to be impacted as work is ongoing on a secondary pipeline, which WASA expects to repair by 4pm today.

Areas still being affected include Macoya, Pasea, Curepe, St Augustine, Valsayn South and Real Spring.
