A 20-year-old Tobago man has been remanded into custody after appearing in court charged with murder and other offences.

Jamal Samuel of Signal Hill is accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old Wanya Kareem Small and wounding another person on January 1st 2024 in Patience Hill.

He appeared virtually before Master Sarah De Silva in the Scarborough High Court charged with murder, shooting with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

His next court appearance is scheduled for June 3rd 2024.
