Investigations are underway into the cause of a fire yesterday at the Beetham Landfill.

SWMCOL says the fire started around 6pm and was confined to the southeastern end of the site, as its Emergency Management Team worked throughout the night.

However, the company is urging persons with respiratory conditions and those who work and live nearby to exercise caution.
