A grenade was found recently in Carenage.
The TTPS says the object was found after officers searched a bushy area along the shoreline on the southern side of the Alcon Bay Fishing Depot.
Identified as an M26 high explosive grenade, the device was later disarmed by the Explosive Detection and Disposal Unit.
Enquiries are continuing.
