Game wardens were called in after officers of discovered exotic animals during a search warrant exercise in Diego Martin.

A quantity of cannabis was also allegedly found at the home at Blue Basin Road.

The TTPS says the animals were 10 exotic golden-winged parakeets and two wedge-capped capuchin monkeys.

The search on Friday was conducted in the presence of a female occupant, as the man named in the warrant was not at home.
