THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine today welcomed the international company, T&T Salvage LLC, which is in Tobago to assist with recovery.

According to the company’s website, T&T Salvage is a national, US Coast Guard recognized, Salvage and Marine Firefighting (SMFF) service provider and has been offering compliance coverage and emergency standby services to commercial vessel owners and operators.

It provides marine salvage, emergency response, and wreck removal services.

Also in Tobago with the Chief Secretary are Works Minister Rohan Sinanan and Permanent Secretary from the Energy Ministry Penelope Bradshaw.

Mr Augustine had previously stated that efforts would have to be made to remove the wreck responsible for the spill.
