Immigration Division transitions to Online Payments

The Immigration Division will launch its new ePayment Portal, effective March 1st 2024.

The ePayment Portal will allow for the:

– Online application for eVisas and eStudent Permits
– Payment by online mechanism (using a Credit Card)
– Acknowledgment of the Visa application in real time
– Ability to track the application status
– The online issuance of eVisas and eStudent Permits

The National Security Ministry says during the transition period from February 10th to 29th 2024, applications submitted to immigration.visas@gov.tt will be processed as an application for a visa waiver.

This would result in persons receiving approval to pay the visa waiver fee of TT$400 on arrival at the port of entry.

This measure would not be applicable to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Service passports and citizens of the following Second Schedule countries: – Cuba, North Korea, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Vietnam, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

It says these persons must continue to apply via email directly to immigration.visas@gov.tt or to any Trinidad and Tobago Mission.

The Ministry says effective March 1st 2024 this process will be discontinued as the new eVisa Online Portal would be available.

Holders of Diplomatic, Official or Service passports Holders of Diplomatic, Official or Service passports must apply via the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Trinidad and Tobago.
