A 57-year-old Moruga man has been granted $80,000 bail on charges related to a chopping incident in Mayaro.

Elvis Patrick Gabriel reportedly surrendered to police on February 1st after his co-worker was injured during an argument at a home.

The injured man is said to be in stable condition, while Gabriel, who appeared in court has been ordered to report to his local police station biweekly, have no contact with the alleged victim and stay 100 feet away from the alleged victim.

He has to reappear in court on February 19th.
