The hero of the historic Brisbane Test, Shamar Joseph, has shot up 42 spots in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings to equal 50th.

Joseph took 7/68 in the second innings of the second and final Test of the series to secure a thrilling eight-run win for West Indies.

It was the Windies’ first Test victory in Australia in 27 years.

Joseph now sits tied for 50th place with Sri Lanka’s Lahiru Kumara.

Meanwhile, his fellow West Indies pacers Kemar Roach (up two places to 17th), Alzarri Joseph (up four places to 33rd) made some movements on the rankings.
