A team from North Gate College has won the inaugural Box Cart InterCol organized by the Gravity Racing Association of T&T.

In addition to participating in the Test and Tune Race Day on January 7th, teams also submitted a very detailed portfolio documenting their research on gravity, velocity and other concepts; materials used, the design process, tests conducted and results.

The winner, chosen after scores were awarded for both, was NGC 2.

Second place went to Blue Knights of Barataria South Secondary, while another North Gate College team – NGC 1 – placed 3rd.

As winners, NGC 2 will receive a trip to south Florida courtesy Caribbean Airlines Limited for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) experience that involves university tours and visits to science museums and institutions.

North Gate College will also receive one year of free internet courtesy Digicel.
