The victim in this morning’s fatal accident along the Beetham Highway has been identified by police as 65-year-old Krisha Ramgas.

According to a media release, around 5:20am a motorist was driving west along the right lane when his right wing-mirror made contact with a male pedestrian.

The man, who was said to have walking west along the highway’s right lane, fell following the impact and was hit by several other vehicles.

The TTPS says the highway has since been cleared and officers were placed at the scene to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
