Investigation launched after small plane crash in Jamaica

A multi-agency investigation has been launched into the crash of a small plane in St Elizabeth, Jamaica on Friday night.

A report by the Jamaica Gleaner says police received a call sometime after 7pm that a small plane had crashed in the Braes River area.

A search and rescue operation was launched, leading to the discovery of the downed two-engine plane.

Head of the St Elizabeth Police, Acting Superintendent Coleridge Minto, said no human remains were seen.

He added that the comprehensive probe will seek to determine, among other things, the plane’s origin and its flight plan.
