The funeral for the late Hochoy Charles will be held tomorrow, January 4th 2024.

Mr Charles passed away passed on Sunday after ailing for some time.

According to a statement from the Office of the THA Chief Secretary, the funeral service will be held at the Shaw Park Complex at 11am.

A public viewing will also be held from 9am.

To allow attendance at the service, the THA will suspend work for the day, while schools on the island will be closed.

There will be a live broadcast of the funeral service on the Office of the Chief Secretary’s Facebook page.

Members of the public can also sign the condolence book at the Assembly Legislature Building, Jerningham Street starting today, January 3rd 2024.

Mr Charles was appointed as the THA’s first Chief Secretary in 1996.

He also served as a Government Senator and Parliamentary Secretary as a Member of the National Alliance for Reconstruction.
