Technical teams are expected to meet on the framework of a second meeting between Guyana President Dr. Irfaan Ali and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolás Maduro.
The two are expected to meet in Brazil as a follow-up to a meeting in December 2023 in St Vincent where the Argyle Declaration was signed.
It came amid a border dispute over the Essequibo region and included a commitment to refrain from escalating any conflict.
The meeting also secured an agreement for the parties to meet again in Brazil.
Newsroom Guyana reports that Dr Ali said he foresees a number of meetings to iron out any wrinkles before the Brazil engagement.
