The Social Development Ministry says efforts are continuing to address technical problems that continue to plague recipients of the 2023 Christmas Food Cards.

These were issued to MPs for distribution, however some have reported issued when attempts were made to use the cards.

The Ministry says it has asked First Citizens Bank to conduct thorough technical checks on all the cards, so that the errors are removed and defective cards replaced in the shortest possible time.

Given these circumstances, it says MPs must organize to have all defective cards returned as soon as possible, so they can be replaced.

The Ministry also apologized for the situation which it says is beyond its control.
