West Indies Head Coach Daren Sammy has highlighted the importance of the T20I series win over England ahead of a World Cup in the Caribbean next year.

Last evening, West Indies completed a 3-2 T20I series win with a four-wicket victory at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

Speaking to CWI Media after the match, Sammy said the success is critical with a T20 World Cup to be held in the USA and West Indies in June 2024.

England’s trip to the Caribbean also resulted in a 2-1 ODI series loss.
