Actor Jonathan Majors, known for playing Kang in the Marvel universe, is facing up to a year in jail after being found guilty of assault.

A jury found that Majors attacked then-girlfriend and British choreographer Grace Jabbari during an altercation in March.

She told the court she was left with a fractured finger, bruising, a cut behind her ear and “excruciating” pain.

After his arrest, Marvel pushed back the release of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, in which Mr Majors is due to play the lead villain and there is now a question mark over his starring roles in forthcoming Marvel films.

Majors’ films include Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
