38 students and 20 parents from the Rose Hill RC Primary School have graduated from a programme by the TTPS Victim and Witness Support Unit.

The school was thrown into the spotlight after a shooting incident in the vicinity of the school in 2022 went viral on social media.

The “Who’s Writing Your Story: From Fear to Freedom” programme was launched in January 2023 and was designed to empower the children with a sense of self-worth, social skills and resiliency.

Valedictorian Zoriah Ferguson, who spoke at the graduation ceremony, said her classmates were not prepared for the sounds of gunshots and added that it was a heartbreaking experience.
