Actor Andre Braugher, known for his role as Captain Raymond Holt in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, has died at the age of 61.
According to reports, his death followed a brief illness.
Braugher was nominated for 11 Emmy Awards – including four for his role as Captain Holt.
He won two Emmys for his roles in “Homicide: Life on the Street” and “Thief.”
Terry Crews, who played Terry Jeffords in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, said Braugher had “irreplaceable talent.”
Braugher is survived by his wife Ami Brabson, who also appeared in “Homicide: Life on the Street,” and three children.
