NIB: Terms of Chairman and government members have not expired

The National Insurance Board says the terms of its Chairman and government members have not expired.

This statement comes after a newspaper article last Friday reported that the term of NIB’s board of directors expired last month.

NIB says the terms that expired on November 9th, 2023 were that of the business and labour members.

The board consists of equal representation by government, business and the labour Movement, an independent Chairman and the Executive Director.

Directors are appointed for a period of not more than two years but may be reappointed.
