The National Gas Company will be carrying out works at the Beetham Highway and at Morvant Junction tomorrow (December 9th, 2023).
According to a notice from the company, it will start activities for the introduction of nitrogen into its 16-inch low-pressure pipeline at the highway and flaring at the City Gate Valve Station at Morvant Junction.
These activities are scheduled to start at 7am and end at 7pm.
At Beetham, there will be excavation works on the eastbound lane, injection of nitrogen into the pipeline and backfilling.
NGC says during the flaring, periodic hissing sounds may be heard but adds that this represents no danger to the public.
It assures that NGC personnel will supervise the works which will be conducted in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
