The Deon Lendore Foundation has been officially launched.

The organization carries the name of the late athlete, who was killed in a car accident in Texas on January 10th 2022.

The Foundation will provide upcoming student-athletes with the tools they need to excel in both sport and education, and provide information to help families prepare their children for both academic and athletic growth.

Implementation is expected in 2024, targeting athletes between 14 and 17 years old.

A launch event was held yesterday at the Hyatt, during which time Sport Minister Shamfa Cudjoe who urged the private sector to extend their support and resources to such initiatives.
