2 week inspection of venues for 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

A delegation is currently conducting a second inspection of confirmed host countries for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Cricket West Indies says the inspection is being done between November 30th and December 15th.

It will be a comprehensive assessment of all the host countries and venues for both World Cup and warm-up matches.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Head of Operations, Khushiyal Singh said, “Areas that will be assessed include pitch and outfield preparations, practice facilities, players dressing rooms, broadcast and media facilities, IT and security capabilities, hotels and guest houses, areas for fan parks, and other key components that are fundamental to the successful staging of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”

CWI says once the inspections and assessments are completed, the ICC will compile their findings and communicate any necessary recommendations.

The tournament will be hosted in the West Indies and the USA, in June 2024.

Recently, Dominica pulled out of hosting duties, leaving six host countries in the Caribbean: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago.
