Five academics of the University of the West Indies have been promoted to the rank of professor.

Three of these individuals are from the UWI St Augustine Campus:
• Professor Bheshem Ramlal –Professor of Geospatial Engineering
• Professor Michelle Scobie– Professor of International Relations and Global Environmental Governance
• Professor Michael Sutherland – Professor of Land and Marine Administration Systems

In the UWI Cave Hill Campus, the newest Professor is Stacey Blackman – Professor of Inclusive Education and Disability Studies.

At UWI Mona, Roy Porter has joined the rank of Professor of Natural Products Chemistry.

The new appointments became effective on October 4th, 2023.
