Ketamine and cash have been seized by police in separate busts at a courier and the Port of Port of Spain.

The ketamine, worth close to $51,000, was found on November 29th 2023 in a package shipped from Queen’s, New York documented as coffee and packaged food.

Police say it was supposed to be collected by a person from D’Abadie however the individual never arrived for the package.

It will now work with international partners to identify and monitor the sender of the package.

Meanwhile, the TTPS says an individual previously identified as an employee of the Port Authority in a case of cash seizure, is not a port worker.

It previously issued a release stating that a port worker and an accomplice were taken to Customs after police intercepted a vehicle and found US$1,810 and TT$46,015 on November 29th 2023.

However, in a subsequent release, the TTPS says following thorough investigations, it has been determined that the individual in question is not an employee of the Port Authority.
