Shane Dowrich retires from international cricket

West Indies wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich has announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect.

As such, the 32-year-old Barbadian has withdrawn from the West Indies squad for the upcoming ODI series against England.

Since 2015, Dowrich has scored 1,570 Test runs and took 85 catches and five stumpings and played a lone ODI against Bangladesh in 2019.

Cricket West Indies says it will not name a replacement for Dowrich for the series against England and the squad will now consist of 14 players.

The first ODI against England bowls off at 9:30am on Sunday 3rd December 2023.
