T&TEC says a power outage which occurred last night was as a result of an incident at one of its Independent Power Producers.

The outage took place around 9:30pm with power restored by 10pm.

In an email response to 103.1FM News, T&TEC adds that the incident was quickly contained and a small percentage of persons were affected.

According to reports, communities in north, central and south Trinidad were impacted.

T&TEC did not provide any further information.
