The search is on for two suspects believed to have started a fire at the Caroni Licensing Office.

The TTPS says around 3.30am on Sunday, two men dressed in dark clothing and hoodies exited a vehicle on the road way in the vicinity of Young Sing Home Centre Limited.

They jumped the fence at the Licensing Compound and ran to an area near the inspection bay, used to keep vehicles that had been seized.

Both men reportedly placed something under a wagon and then began pouring something from the said vehicle for approximately 15 feet.

They then lit the area, causing a fire and an explosion.

The men subsequently escaped in a waiting vehicle.

The fire damaged 15 cars and a motor-cycle, with full damages still to be determined.
